The Team
Adam Rahman
Adam Rahman is the founding editor of Glanover Notebook and the publication's primary writer on men's wellness habits and natural lifestyle documentation. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he has spent several years observing and documenting the everyday practices of active men across Malaysia — with particular interest in the intersection of traditional Malaysian botanical culture and contemporary wellness research.
His writing operates in a reportorial register: documenting what is observed, reviewing what published wellness and nutritional literature supports, and resisting the prescriptive framing that dominates much of the men's wellness space. He has written for the publication on energy habits, morning routines, movement consistency, and the relationship between sleep quality and daily performance awareness.
Adam is a graduate of Universiti Malaya and holds a postgraduate qualification in journalism and media. He maintains an active lifestyle practice of his own — trail running in the Klang Valley on weekends, daily movement habits documented in his own journal, and a long-standing interest in traditional Malaysian foodways.
Kevin Tan is a guest contributor to Glanover Notebook, writing on traditional Malaysian botanical practices, men's nutrition awareness, and the intersection of cultural food heritage with everyday wellness habits. Based in Petaling Jaya, Kevin brings a perspective rooted in traditional Malaysian foodways and published nutritional research.
Why This Publication Exists
Document, Not Prescribe
The editorial model for Glanover Notebook is rooted in observation and reportage. The publication documents what active Malaysian men do, what published wellness research says about those practices, and what the accumulated pattern of observation suggests — without telling readers what to do or promising specific outcomes.
Malaysia-Specific Perspective
Most men's wellness publishing originates in the United States or United Kingdom. Glanover Notebook addresses active lifestyle men Malaysia with a perspective grounded in the local context: traditional Malaysian wellness practices, the climate-adapted activity patterns of the Klang Valley, and the nutritional landscape of Malaysian cuisine.
No Commercial Affiliation
Glanover Notebook is independently published without commercial affiliation to supplement brands, wellness product companies, or affiliated programme operators. All contributors disclose any commercial relationships that could influence editorial selection. The publication accepts no affiliate arrangements that would alter its editorial independence.
“The men who maintained the most consistent habits were not the most disciplined. They were the most organised. The documentation of that difference is what this publication is for.”── Adam Rahman, Founding Editor, Glanover Notebook
